The Role

You will be an integral part of the team working closely with our management and providing technical advice and product recommendations to clients. You will require a commercial, flexible and positive attitude, as well as possess a sound understanding of all agronomy disciplines (crop, weed, disease & horticulture).

The role will involve:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to understand their current and future needs.
  • Providing clients with agronomic technical advice and recommend products accordingly.
  • Performing agronomic services for clients with farm management including planning, monitoring, testing & inspecting.
  • Identifying and cultivating new agronomic sales opportunities for prospective and existing clients.

The Person

  • Proven sales track record and previous experience in an agronomy role.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and engage meaningfully with customers and stakeholders.
  • Possess understanding of products, seasonal timing and general agronomy disciplines to best assist customers.
  • Tertiary qualifications in agricultural science or a related field.
  • Ability to provide high level customer service and cultivate relationships with potential and current customers with a view to expand sales.
  • Possess superior written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to convert opportunities into sales transactions.
